AMENITIES

We will provide you with bed linens and bathroom/kitchen towels sufficient for the number of guests indicated in the booking confirmation. In the interest of sustainability, fresh sets of linens and towels shall be provided once, only on request, every 5th day.

As many of our organic bed linens are handmade with love by Nonna, we do ask that you take extra special care of them so we can continue to offer this special bedding to all of our guests. Make-up and tanning products can permanently stain linens and towels so please ensure these residues are thoroughly removed before contact with bedding and towels.

All accommodation includes an induction stove, refrigerator, kettle, pots and pans, cutlery, dishware, and a mini broom/dustpan. La Vedetta/La Casa additionally includes an oven.

Bathrooms include hairdryers, rain showers, bidets, and toiletries.

An iron and ironing board is available upon request.

Light breakfast snacks are provided on arrival to last for the duration of your stay, based on the number of guests. Please let us know at least two weeks in advance about any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to accommodate.

We will provide you with instructions for heating, air conditioning, and trash sorting and removal including composting and recycling.

CLEANING

Please wash all dishes, pots and pans, etc. before departure. 

PARKING

Please note that parking is only available outside of the medieval city center, and with certain restrictions. We will provide you with full details on arrival.

SAFETY

Please be aware that due to Borgo di Sotto’s medieval nature, ceilings may be low in certain areas so be mindful of head clearance. Our rustic floors are uneven so please be careful, especially if wearing high heeled shoes. Be careful of steps up and down and subtle elevation changes.

Please do not use any electrical appliance other than those supplied or approved by Borgo di Sotto, as this may cause a fire hazard and damage to your appliance—even those connected via electrical adapters (that adjust for country electrical systems).

Please comply with health and safety and fire regulations as displayed.

Borgo di Sotto provides you with a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and emergency contact information.

Use of candles and any other flammable material or substance is prohibited due to fire danger.

The fireplace in La Segreta may only be used after we provide full instructions and only by using wood and kindling we provide, available for purchase in advance.

Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping) is not allowed at Borgo di Sotto, including out the windows.

For your comfort, although Borgo di Sotto is equipped with mosquito window screens, we suggest you bring mosquito repellent for outdoor activities.

BORGO DI SOTTO CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

We use recommended cleaning protocol and procedures to clean and disinfect your room. However by booking your reservation, you accept responsibility for following appropriate health and safety guidelines while staying with us. Disinfectant wipes and sanitizer will be available for your use.

No cleaning service is provided during the tenancy.

If unforeseen events require the services of a repair person, access must be granted.

DAMAGES AND BREAKAGE

Accidents do happen, so please report any spills, damages or breakages as soon as they occur so we may quickly ameliorate the situation.

We do not normally charge for small breakages, but we may charge you for repair/replacement if the damage or breakage is significant.
When booking with us, guests accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused. Full payment for any such damage or loss shall be charged to the credit card on file.

You hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred by any member of the party during your stay to the property and its contents (including without limitation specialist cleaning) and/or for any items that are missing when you leave.

If the property has not been left in an acceptable state, an additional amount for extra cleaning may be charged after departure. If repair, cleaning, or replacement costs are not immediately known, an estimate shall be calculated and billed to the credit card on file at a later date. 

GUEST ETIQUETTE

We ask that guests make every effort not to disrupt the comfort of other guests nor the local community.

Parties are not allowed. Please refrain from playing loud music or movies, talking or walking too loudly in noisy shoes, or slamming doors. We all know how annoying that can be if we’ve ever been apartment dwellers or stayed in a noisy hotel 😉

Quiet hours are between the hours of 11PM and 8AM.
